This page will soon host the details surrounding my biggest project in AI to date, which I've recently finished. This project is a significant part of my degree requirements for earning my master's degree in computer science from Miami University. The thesis document is already available on OhioLINK, and the repository is available here: https://github.com/KWaterworth/model-agents-of-change-original.
My goal in creating this page is to have a platform from which to provide further updates and resources surrounding this project. I believe in iteration, continuous growth, and improvement, and I believe that research is no exception to that.
Focus Questions:
To give you an idea of the sort of subjects I am focusing on in my research in AI, I've included the following questions...
How can the AI research field benefit from interdisciplinary concepts?
Entrepreneurship
Design thinking
Lateral thinking
Psychology
Psychotherapy
Creative neuroscience
Synergetics
Systems thinking
How can AI systems be built to better serve real people and solve real problems?
How can AI systems adapt with changing user and business needs?
How can integrated and hybrid AI systems facilitate exponential growth?
How can cutting edge AI research be leveraged to solve real problems for users, businesses, and customers?
How can AI be built with the following priorities in mind?
Adaptability / Modifiability - Can AI systems be easily changed to fit the needs of businesses, users, and customers?
Interpretability - Can people understand why AI systems make the choices they make?
Creativity / Flexibility - Can AI systems think outside the box and beyond strict definitions?
Usability - Is an AI system easy to understand and use?
Functional Alignment - Do AI systems do what people need them to do?
Logical Thought - Can AI systems leverage logic to examine heuristic-based thinking processes?
Ultimately, my goal is to create a research product which is not only interesting to the research community, but helpful in real-world environments too.
